"Recently, Lori and I decided we wanted a piece of Texas somewhere in Austin and surrounding counties.
A friend of ours, having recently acquired some land in that area, was consulted concerning the best choice of a real estate agent. She, without hesitation, offered the name STEVE CRAIG.
We have dealt with agents before, but had no frame of reference to prepare us for the delightful experience that was to follow. Steve asked many questions, in a light conversational manner, in an attempt to discover what exactly we wanted. Two spouses explaining this can be very confusing. Steve was tireless in his search. It was simply like meeting with a friend who was willing to provide all the time needed for the quest and who knew the country like the back of his hand.
I can’t even recall now just how many parcels we viewed, but Steve was straightforward with the pros and cons of every property. It was obvious he not only knew the land, but had a fondness for it. In nearly all cases, he provided some history, the names of those who would be neighbors, and some of the difficulties preparing the property for a home.
There was one very interesting aspect to his assistance. He didn’t restrict showings to just what we had specified…somehow knowing what we might want better than we ourselves. As a matter of fact, one such acreage was the perfect one. It wasn’t much like what we had described, but was the perfect spot in every way.
Steve’s assistance was immeasurable right up to closing. He had obtained copious amounts of information concerning the cost of running utilities, maintenance of a pond, renewing the agricultural permit, etc.
The flow of his helpful knowledge and contacts didn’t end at closing. He continues to this very day listing and introducing us to the people needed to facilitate our plans for this new property.
Steve Craig is much, much more than a real estate agent need be.
In short, we hope we can count Steve (and his family) as our friend and neighbor."
